Healthy Eating and Exercise Work
Potato Chips. French Fries. Sugary Drinks. Red Meat.
And let’s not forget refined grains such as white flour.
These are the types of food that are causing major weight gain for people across the country.
A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine reaffirms what so many Registered Dietitians and medical professionals have been preaching for years.
Healthy eating and exercise helps people lose weight.
Researchers looked at data from three studies involving more than 120,000 healthy adults. None of them were obese. But after 20 years, each of them had gained an average of more than 16 pounds.
How did that happen?
They gained weight from eating potatoes, soda, red and processed meats and refined grains, according to the study.
Additionally, the less sleep they had and the more TV they watched, the more weight they gained.
What does this mean?
It takes many healthy choices to keep off those extra pounds. And they have to be made daily.
