“I cannot say enough . . .”
“I recently completed a course of physical therapy at Patterson Avenue, and I would very much like to share my positive experience. I had recently been experiencing cervical pain, probably a pain score 6, with radiculopathy into left arm, with a score off the pain chart, almost prompting an ER visit. My PCP, Dr. Mark Barr, one of the physicians I had worked with at Patterson Avenue for 26 years before retiring in 2010, diagnosed arthritic changes and probable pinched nerve and prescribed physical therapy. I was skeptical because of the intensity of the pain. Justin did my evaluation and was so descriptive of how my body was responding to the problem, and how the correct therapy would address the problem. I felt much better emotionally after the evaluation, and not intimidated for complaining so. As his schedule did not permit treating me over a period of time, I was “assigned” Brittaney Miller, PTA. From the first hello, to the last good bye, Brittaney proved to be the most rewarding therapist, both with the physical therapy, and an obvious desire to make me better. Gradually her therapy regimen took control of my body and as the treatments increased, the pain gradually decreased, ending in a pain score of zero. She taught me how to follow through at home, in between visits, and watched as I showed her my exercises to ensure I was doing them right. My mid-course evaluation by Mike Hathaway was positive for my progress, and positive for the plan of treatment that Brittaney provided. I cannot say enough of Brittaney’s professionalism and knowledge of her field. This, combined with a genuine desire to heal, and her very evident respect of her patients, and all persons, proves her to be an outstanding professional. There were also kind techs, Jacob, and Jenny, who assisted, and at any and all times, every professional in that facility would smile and speak. The facility should be recognized as superb, as during quiet times of my personal therapy, I was attentive to all around me, all positive. The therapists, assistants, and techs have a hard job, dealing with public, and all were awesome. So also, praises for LaTasha and Emily, the first faces you see, always smiling. I could continue to praise, but end with a thank you for providing such a rewarding experience. I am now pain free, and will not disappoint Brittaney with my home follow through. Thank you for your time.” -Patient at Patterson Avenue
