Peter Catizone, PT, ATC
Clinical Supervisor and Physical Therapist
Peter brings a wealth of experience to Bon Secours Richmond Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy. He has been practicing as a physical therapist in Richmond since
1995, in addition to serving as a Certified Athletic Trainer for 25 years, and has worked in North Carolina, Virginia, Massachusetts, Florida, and California. Catizone has had the opportunity to work with several local Richmond sports teams such as Richmond Renegades, River Dogs, Striker’s Soccer Club, and a number of area high schools.
Catizone excels in the treatment of both spine and extremity injuries. He specializes in post operative cases, but also recognizes the importance of therapy to help people avoid surgery. He has gone to a variety of continuing education courses to further his education and is currently working towards a certification in manual therapy. This treatment approach focuses on faulty joint mechanics as it relates to injury.
Personally, Catizone brings sports experience to the clinic. He graduated college from Marshall University where he was the captain of his soccer team. Peter continues to play in adult leagues around town.
